Local Fourth-graders Open Restaurant

21 students from the Friends’ School in Boulder will be putting their restauranteur skills to work this week when they open and run their own restaurant at the Walnut Cafe (3073 Walnut St.). The endeavor is a school project aimed at teaching valuable small business skills, and the profits (except for $1 that each student gets to keep) will be donated to Community Food Share. The students have put a lot of work into their restaurant so far, including creating a logo, choosing a menu, setting a theme, creating advertising posters, and shadowing waitresses and hostesses, to get them prepared for their opening this Tuesday. The restaurant will be called “Graft’s Groovy Grill” and will be open Tuesday and Wednesday (3/13 – 3/14) nights from 5pm to 8pm. Full Daily Camera article here.
