After a terrible fire that all but burned down the promising restaurant Oak at Fourteenth last March, the eatery finally has a date chosen for their re-opening. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, December 14th, Boulder food-lovers; Oak is coming back with a vengeance (and a completely new, remodeled interior). We’re excited to see what they’ve been busy working on for the past nine months, both with construction and menu/drink edits. Although the food was excellent last time I visited (which was a few days before the fire last spring), and the menu didn’t seem to need many changes since it was fairly new, it’s always exciting to check out fresh additions…but, Oak, if you’re listening: keep those fried pickles in the repertoire! In terms of delicious appetizers, those were non-negotiable.
